Viscosity (viscosity coefficient) is an index representing the thickness of a liquid. It expresses the degree of "thinness" or "thickness" of a liquid with numerical values. The SI unit pascal-second (Pa·s) is currently used. In the past, the CGS unit poise (P) (=10-1 Pa·s) was used.
