Wakosil®-II C8 Series uses a packing agent of high-purity silica gel chemically modified with an octyl (C8) group. As with Wakosil®-II C18 series, the raw material is high-purity silica gel with a low metal content, and it enables high-resolution analysis of basic compounds and coordination compounds.
Since the alkyl chain is shorter than ODS (C18) and the retention of highly hydrophobic compounds is lower, compounds with differences in polarity can be analyzed in a short time.
As with Wakosil®-II C18 series, there are two types: HG and RS.
